One of the greatest hot heads in the history of baseball, Billy Martin, was in the major leagues for 27 years—11 years as a player and 16 as a manager. During that time, he gained a reputation for his on- and off-field antics, a frequent starter of bar fights and a womanizer, until his untimely death, in 1989, at the age of 61.
